Mark ensures the expert service and timely response clients need to maximize their operations in today's challenging facilities environment. Responsible for an area encompassing Virginia, Washington, D.C., and parts of Maryland, he and his four managers service approximately 400 contract customers per year. In addition to meeting with current clients and developing new business, he organizes and directs office and dispatch functions, manages a fleet of 40 trucks, oversees hiring, tracks both union and manufacturers' training, and monitors safety compliance. He also works with the sales force to develop, submit and follow up on proposals. The result is the kind of consistently effective, high-performance service clients expect from an industry leader.

 

Expertise

Mark has more than a quarter of a century of manufacturing and service management expertise. After an initial stint with General Electric as a locomotive assembly supervisor, he joined Coppus Engineering Corporation, where he held turbine assembly and shipping supervisor, as well as service supervisor positions. He then moved to Carrier Corporation. After starting as a branch service supervisor, he moved up into increasingly more responsible posts as service sales engineer and branch service manager. Prior to joining EMCOR, he was district service manager for York International.

 

Mark holds a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has also attended General Electric's manufacturing management program, Sandler sales training and Carrier training programs in such areas as system design, leadership, management communication skills, quality corrective action, and centrifugal and absorption refrigeration.

 

The Personal Side
Mark is married and the father of two children, a boy and a girl. In addition to his family, he enjoys fishing and playing golf.
