Shawn is responsible for the successful execution of all mechanical projects, overseeing our project managers, and coordinating with other departments to help ensure project success.
Expertise
Shawn has over 18 years of industry experience in several major markets, including commercial, government, and healthcare buildings. He started his career as a helper and has worked his way up through the ranks to positions of increasing responsibility, building his knowledge and expertise.
Previously, Shawn worked for another division of EMCOR as a lead engineer. In this role, he was responsible for transitioning a multimillion-dollar renovation project at a high-profile diplomatic embassy into an operations and maintenance contract. His role included developing standard operating procedures and a robust maintenance plan.
Shawn sits on the Board of Industrial Trades in Washington, DC, representing one of two first class steam engineers for the city. He holds several professional accreditations, including:
- Certified Professional Maintenance Manager
- Certified Healthcare Emergency Power Professional
- Maryland 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License
- Master HVAC License from Virginia and Maryland
- Certificates in contract formation and administration from George Mason University
- Certificate in project management from the University of the District of Columbia
- American Society of Healthcare Engineers membership
The Personal Side
Outside of work, Shawn spends his time with his wife and family, traveling, enjoying Caribbean food, and attending comedy shows and basketball games.
